musings, poetry

Two worlds

For sale signs written on car windows
Instead of posted on the Internet

Not our world

We visit
Tourists, privileged ones
In our sleek cars
And option-filled lives

We slum
Intellectually so
But praised the creativity fashioned
And driven
By need

Pure need
Of both subsistence
And hope
