Queer Sexuality 4000

I’ve made a space for you beside me
Rest your weary arms
Leave your heavy heart
It’s safe right here next to me

My hands won’t shake
My heart will always beat too fast

Press up against me
Skin to skin and flesh to flesh
Lend me those honeyed kisses
Let me cherish every touch

I warmed the bath for you
Ran the water
Slipped in the bubbles
Turned off the lights
And lit the candles
Join me
Lean back and let me soothe the struggles
From your shoulders; your brow; your soul

Curl up here on my lap
Don’t hush yourself
Give over to the moon and the sun
And the stars and the heavens
The gifts of our pleasures
The gifts of our workings

This is our sex
This is our love
This is where we belong

Next to one another
In each other’s spaces
Garlanded and wreathed together
Leaving nothing left for loss

Raison d’etre

"Raw," she said. "I want something primal. I want something bare and naked. I want you to give me this life raw, unbidden, unhidden, free, fair, and true. Can you do that? Can you do that for me?"

One may only try.
