Pillar of Salt

I have no more words to give you
Because I have no more gifts for you, save this:
Don’t look back.

Don’t be Lot’s wife,
Casting your eyes towards the riches and the
Comforts and the
Ease of life you left behind.

Don’t look back
At me
I’ll turn you into a pillar of salt;
I’ll watch you be blown away.

And I won’t gather you back together.

Raison d’etre

"Raw," she said. "I want something primal. I want something bare and naked. I want you to give me this life raw, unbidden, unhidden, free, fair, and true. Can you do that? Can you do that for me?"

One may only try.
