Modern Love: Being In Love

If we’re not careful, we can forget how to be in love.

Love is not the same as being in love. Love is the hard part: the patience, the kindness, learning to overlook the small things, paying the bills on time, sacrificing sleep, splitting chores, and more and more and more– Love is hard!

But being in love? That’s the easy part. It’s losing track of your priorities and rolling around in the grass and watching sunsets and feeling the summer breeze.

We know how to be in love and we know what it looks like, so, let’s just do it: be in love, have fun, enjoy it!

You’ll have a lifetime to love this person if you spend right now being in love with them.

"Raw," she said. "I want something primal. I want something bare and naked. I want you to give me this life raw, unbidden, unhidden, free, fair, and true. Can you do that? Can you do that for me?"

One may only try.
