Modern Love: Apology Not Accepted

Your apology means nothing to me because I mean nothing to you. I could get up in arms about the details, but the details don’t matter–

You don’t respect me or my time. It’s as simple as that. Nothing, not a friendship, not a relationship, not love, not a single thing can grow where there is no mutual respect or care.

This thing between us is a dead thing and I need to put it out of its misery.

"Raw," she said. "I want something primal. I want something bare and naked. I want you to give me this life raw, unbidden, unhidden, free, fair, and true. Can you do that? Can you do that for me?"

One may only try.
